My First Plot
My first ever plot with the UUNA TEK ArtStation is complete, framed, and now sitting proudly on a shelf.
It is far from perfect, but that is part of what makes it special. I learned a huge amount from making it, and no matter what I create from here, this one will always be the first.
The design itself is fairly simple: layered Truchet tiles, plotted with a few different pens I had bought to experiment with. There were plenty of lessons along the way. One layer used a brush pen set too low, which created much wider lines than I intended (and left the pen tip rather misshapen by the end). The file also was not optimised for plotting, so instead of drawing long, continuous lines, the machine worked through many short segments.
But that is often the value of these early “failures”. They show you exactly what needs to change next time.
It may be imperfect, but it is finished, framed, and mine — and everything I learned from it will feed into the next one.
